Frequently asked questions and usage instructions for the Peripage A8.
What is the reason when the printer indicator light turns orange?
a. When powering on, pressing the power button multiple times will enter the debug mode, resulting in an orange light. You can exit by long pressing the power button.

b. When upgrading the printer system (debug mode) through the app, the indicator light will turn orange.

When the app prompts that the printer is being upgraded, please do not press the power button to exit the upgrade mode, which will cause the upgrade to fail; after the upgrade fails, you need to re-upgrade; successfully, you can use the printer normally.
Can other Apps connect to the printer for printing?
Other APPs need to be compatible with the printer technically, we will work with them and release the function in future.
Can I connect to a computer for printing?
Download and install the computer driver on the official website. After that, use it just like the normal printer.
(The downloaded driver package contains instructions and print templates)
Do I need an ink cartridge to print?
No; Peripage uses thermal printing technology. The printer head heat the thermal paper coating dot by dot to creats text or picture.
What is the clarity of the printer?
We use Japanese high-quality thermal printheads. There are currently two resolution options: 203dpi and 304dpi, both of which can meet the requirements of normal reading distance (about 30cm).
What are the applicable thermal paper specifications?
It is used for all thermal paper rolls with a width within 58mm and a diameter within 30mm.
Can I print in color?
No. PeriPage just supports single color printing. You can buy mono-color thermal paper such as blue, red, yellow, pink to get color words.
Can I print thermal paper and label paper with adhesive backing?
Yes, it can use for all kinds of paper rolls with a width within 58mm and a diameter within 30mm.
What does label smart identification mean?
The PeriPage uses emit-absorb IR sensors instead of normal reflection sensor to capture the lable gap more precisely, so it can study and identify different labels height and provides easy operation.
Why can't my phone connect to the printer?
Firstly, make sure the bluetooth of mobile phone is on; Secondly, make sure the printer is not connected to other Bluetooth devices; Finally, reboot after the shutdown, try to connect again.
Why is there no content when the thermal paper is printed?
Generally, the paper is loaded upside down. Please reload the paper in the correct direction in the manual.
Tips for indicator lights
- Green light on - fully charged / in normal use status;
- Red light on - charging in progress / paper shortage / print head overheating / lid opening;
- Red light flashing - low battery, may cause the printed text to be faint, please charge it in time;
- Orange light on - printer debugging mode has been entered. Press and hold the power button until it shuts down to exit debugging mode.
