Frequently asked questions and operating instructions for the Peripage A2.
Can other Apps connect to the printer for printing?
Other apps need to be technically compatible with the printer. We will work with them and release this function in the future.
Can I print thermal paper and label paper with adhesive backing?
Yes, as long as it meets our printing paper specifications: within 58 mm in width and within 30 mm in diameter.
Can I connect to a computer for printing?
Download and install the computer driver from the official website. After that, use it just like a normal printer.
Do I need an ink cartridge to print?
No. Peripage uses thermal printing technology. The print head heats the thermal paper coating dot by dot to create text or pictures.
What is the clarity of the printer?
We use Japanese high-quality thermal print heads. The resolution option is 203 dpi, which can meet the requirements of a normal reading distance (about 30 cm).
What are the applicable thermal paper specifications?
It is suitable for all thermal paper rolls with a width within 58 mm and a diameter within 30 mm.
Can I print in color?
No. PeriPage only supports single-color printing. You can buy mono-color thermal paper such as blue, red, yellow, or pink to get colored words.
Tips for indicator lights
- Green on: fully charged / normal use state.
- Red on: charging / paper shortage / print head overheating / cover opened.
- Red flashing: low battery. It will cause the print to be light, please charge in time.
- Orange on: the printer has entered debugging mode; long-press the power button until shutdown to exit debugging mode.
What does label smart identification mean?
The PeriPage uses emit-absorb IR sensors instead of a normal reflection sensor to capture the label gap more precisely, so it can learn and identify different label heights and provides easy operation.
Why can't my phone connect to the printer?
First, make sure the Bluetooth of your mobile phone is on. Second, make sure the printer is not connected to other Bluetooth devices. Finally, reboot after shutdown and try to connect again.
Why is there no content when the thermal paper is printed?
Generally, the paper is loaded upside down. Please reload the paper in the correct direction as shown in the manual.
