FAQ & Troubleshooting
Root cause: You need to close the App PeriPage page first, then open the file with PeriPage.
Solution: For some Android phones, close the App PeriPage first (remove PeriPage from the phone's background App manager by swiping up from the bottom of the home screen and swiping PeriPage out). Open the document with PeriPage: open your document from another app, such as WhatsApp/Gmail, tap the document to open it, tap the bottom-left icon, tap "…", and select PeriPage to import the file into PeriPage. Then in the PeriPage app, tap the file and tap the print logo to print.
[!TIP] Make sure the phone's Internet is active to use the App, otherwise many functions are not available.
Every unit was double-tested by the seller before shipment. Common causes and fixes:
- Connected the wrong way — Follow the video on our product page to connect by Bluetooth or USB.
- The phone is in low-battery / power-saving mode — Charge the phone.
- The phone's Internet is not available — Activate your Internet access to use the printer.
- Trying to connect from the phone's Bluetooth settings — This is the wrong way. Do not connect from the phone's Bluetooth list; connect within the PeriPage App after turning on the phone's Bluetooth. See the step-by-step guide in Install the App & Connect by Bluetooth.
- The phone is not compatible (too old) — Try a newer phone. Make sure the phone and PC meet the minimum requirements: Bluetooth for Android 8 or later, iPhone 12 or later; USB cable for Windows PC 10 or later, Mac PC 11 or later with an M1 or later chip.
- The printer is already connected to a first phone — Disconnect the first phone, then connect the second phone again. Charge the phone.
The paper was printed from rolled paper.
- Slide it at the edge of a desk to make it flat — the sharper the edge, the better it will be.
- Buy folded paper instead of rolled paper.

The two holders were not removed. Remove the two holders that stop the rolled letter paper.

The paper is upside down — only one side is printable. Please print with the other side.

- The density / concentration / darkness is not set to the maximum (5), but to 2 — set the density to 5.
- The text font size or lines are too small — enlarge the font size or line.
- The picture is too small — enlarge the picture on the paper.
- The thermal paper quality is not good — use good-quality general thermal paper, or use the IOOIOO thermal paper available in our store.
- The DPI is only 203 DPI, not 300 DPI — buy our high-DPI-resolution A40 Plus with 300 DPI.
The folded paper has no black mark for the printer to recognize, so it is not well compatible with the printer.
- If you are using other, non-compatible paper, set the parameter to 11 (or the actual shifting of each page) as shown below.
- Or buy the PeriPage-compatible folded paper from our store or on Amazon.

-
The tattoo paper was too bright and misled the sensor to stop printing — block the sensor with a label.

-
The newer firmware version V1.4.3_SD upgraded the printing quality and no longer supports tattoo printing — double-click the power button to print the version.

-
The transfer paper melted because the print head temperature was too high —
- Adjust the printing darkness from 5 to 0.
- Print the transfer paper upside down.

- Turn off the printer, open the cover, and take out the paper.
- Dip a cotton cloth or cotton swab with medical alcohol, and wipe gently along the center to the periphery of the printer head.
